At the studio: Atalanta Weller

When I was finished with the portrait of Cooperative Designs, Dorothee asked me if I would like to meet two shoe designers that had their working space in the same unit. A door behind the knitting machines opened and I met Atalanta (left), the creative behind the label Atalanta Weller and her assistant Holly. Their studio is filled with sculptural heels, designed for Gareth Pugh and House Of Holland. Atalanta's own collection has been out for the second time this winter and is available at Brown's Fashion.

Susie Bubble visited her only some days later: Ata-Weller-Weller-oh....

At the studio: Cooperative Designs

Taking "At Home" portraits in London is considerably different than in Berlin and doing it with a 35mm lense is even more risky. London's houses, apartments and studios are in no way comparable to the wide and bright spaces you find in Berlin.
This is the team of Cooperative Designs squeezed in between their knitting machines. Dorothee Hagemann and Annalisa Dunn are well known for their colorful and bold yet elegant knitwear, that is also available in their online shop.

At home: Njide Ugboma

This is Nijide Ugboma, editor in chief of the British Let Them Eat Cake magazine. When I asked Njide for a picture for the At Home series, she told me the place she feels most at home is at her office in Dalston. It is located in an old industrial building just off Kingsland Road and I went there on a rainy morning during London Fashion Week. I guess it is not unusual for London people to feel most at home in their business surrounding, since they might spend the most of their time there. For Berliners, though, in their relaxed state of mind and "2 days of work a week is enough" attitude, this comes as a slight surprise. Maybe this is the reason Berlin lacks the splendid choice of fashion magazines you will find at a usual London newsstand.

As a sidenote: I got lost searching for the office and decided to enter any building, asking for the way. Lucky me, I went straight into the studio of Gareth Pugh, where the fitting and hair and make-up tests where going on. HE was not there, though.

London Fashion Week: At Burberry

Her style exemplifies one of my favourite women's looks right now: subtle feminine details, like her voluminous hair, join masculine clothing in a delicate color combination completed with almost no make-up.
This photo is the last from London, Dario will start posting pictures from Milano from tomorrow. I enjoyed London, despite the rain, and it had a perfect ending with visiting the most british of all shows: Burberry. I am planning on coming back in summer to take more sunlight filled pictures. Or is a wish for sunny days too much for London summer?

At home: Aisha

Aisha, 27, entrepreneuse, gallerist, lawyer, philanthropist, publisher

Aisha is my lovely hostess in London, she lives inside a flat made out of clothes. The walls are made of Peter Jensen dresses, the floors are covered in Sonia Rykiel and the ceiling is a patchwork of vintage Valentino. Customized pumps and Vivienne Westwood boots line the walls and Aisha likes to wear delicate silk dresses from the 1930s for lunch.

London Fashion Week: At Somerset House

I know this does not really fit into the Cut! section, and it does not show her outfit too well so there is no objective reason to put this picture up here - but my goodness is that a beautiful face!

London Fashion Week: At Somerset House

Arriving in London, the first present I got was a light flu. Feeling drowsy all day is not the ideal condition to take pictures on the street, and inbetween all the London excitement her demure all-grey outfit and the natural look of her hair and make-up were a welcome relief to my achy head.
