Hello,
This week I have the luck to feature one very beautiful shop - Pamannie's Shop for hand-stamped greeting cards, ceramic tiles and other paper crafts.
They use only top-quality cardstock, inks, embellishments, designer papers, glitter and gems. Their items are stamped & made by hand so each is one-of-a-kind.
Please take your time and look around. The owners continue to add new cards and other stamped items often.
Here are some of my favorite.
Colorful Summer Hand Stamped Card
Lovely Cream and Caramel Handstamped Card
Hand Stamped Graduation Card

At home: Indi and Lucy
These are Indi and Lucy, they are English women living in Berlin - they reside in a typical Kreuzberg Mietskaserne and still manage to transport British style into it - the floral sofa, the cat pillow and cat drawing and the dried and framed flowers have, at least for me, a distinctive British feel, isn't it lovely?

An Italian girl in Paris
I have to tiptoe when I enter Elisa Nalin's Paris apartment "because the baby just fell asleep". Usually her son is the life of the party, but for what would turn out to be just a half hour, 18-month old Lucio is giving his parents a break. The rooms are quiet and drenched in Sunday afternoon light; I'm sipping tea while Elisa sorts through the vintage pieces she's decided to show me. I'm surprised her clothing rack is not more overwhelming. Elisa is known to be a bit of a vintage fanatic. Then she explains that about two years ago she moved into her boyfriend's apartment on Boulevard Magenta, but still held on to her own. "My old apartment has turned into an enormous, crazy closet. It looks like a favella! My nanny lives there now, surrounded by all my stuff. I go back now and then to pick up things I've been missing".
Half way into her first outfit, Lucio wakes up from his nap. When he appears in the bedroom door on his mother's arm, the resemblance is undeniable. Just like his mommy's consistent, infectious giggle, Lucio's smile is captivating, endearing and uncontrollable. I've never seen a kid more happy to be awake!
"My grandmother made this skirt for my mother. It's one of a few that I personally wear as strapless dresses. As a kid I was scared of my grandmother. She was a tough, Italian woman. I learned quickly: Don't mess with grandma!"
What I notice first about Elisa's style is that she matches colors. Red shoes, red dress. Black and blue dress, black and blue shoes. When I point it out she ponders for a second and says "I like monochrome and color blocking with strong colors. But it depends on how I feel when I wake up. Dressing up has always been a game to me. I love to play with different styles. You have to have fun with it!" As the Fashion Director of Crash magazine and Contributing Editor to Lula, Japanese Harper's Bazaar and French Glamour, she better not get up on the wrong side of the bed!
Until recently Elisa had a long, caramel, fringed hair cut but right after Paris fashion week she decided to bleach it and cut it super short. "When I had long hair I would wear more dresses. I find it harder to wear dresses with this short hair. Pants seems more appropriate." Maybe she is still getting used to it, or maybe it was my subliminal influence, but the looks she put together for me were nothing but a series of fantastic dresses. Who needs pants!?
"I got this 1950's sun dress at Portobello Market in London. The shoes are Michel Vivien from Paris."
Guy Laroche black lace harem pants jump suit.
"It's a shame I don't wear this Balenciaga dress. The collar is too severe. I'll have to bring it to the tailor." We pinned the collar for the picture. Worn with purple Pierre Hardy heels.
"I've had this white bow tie shirt since I was 8 years old and I still wear it! I found the jacket at one of the "vide grenier" sales in Paris. They're like little flea markets, all over Paris, every Sunday. The skirt is Alexandre Mathieu. His line doesn't exist anymore but he used to make fantastic clothes. This skirt has red patent leather stars attached to it."
"This Bernhard Wilhelm dress must be about 10 years old. It really evokes a Lanvin feeling, doesn't it?" Worn with YSL velours belt and vintage Martin Sitbon heels.
1950's sun dress bought in Sardenia
Cowboy boots.....
Rob hates cowboy boots so I sneakily pulled one on to try it for size at a big flea market in Cornwall and TWANG my back muscles pulled - I was in so much agony I had to leave it on and buy them and hobble off slowly to find Rob, he was horrified and I spent the next 48 hours on big painkillers, now I am off to the osteopath to get it sorted out. They turned out to not fit very well either so off to the charity shop with them. Apart from that we had the most amazing holiday - I wore mainly my Aunts 1970s batik kaftan and flip flops, perfect for getting changed on the beach and lovely and cool....she has given Rob one too but he seems to have lost it......we could not have picked a better week for weather and now am very brown and relaxed looking forward to Hammersmith this weekend - the last one until September, as usual if anyone would like tickets do email me xx love Samaya

This is Jan, attentive followers of this blog might recognize him from earlier posts (here, here and here). He is for sure one of the most intelligent fashion writers in Berlin and one of the best dressed men in town. In this picture you can see him shaving his immaculate legs in his bathtub, his most favorite place in Berlin's frosty winters. Follow Jan's writings on "Sounds like me".
