Launch of Vintage Exclusives collection

It's been an exciting week! Kicking off with the launch of Vintage Exclusives by The Vintage Guide to London, who will be working with London-based designers and dressmakers to create limited editon vintage-inspired fashion creations.

The first collection, crafted by the The Vintage Dressmaker, the lovely Irma Romero, are four blouses inspired by the 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's. I was lucky enough to model the 60's blouse, and was excited to hear the wonderful Gordon Ayres was the shoot photographer, who uses techniques culled from the classic Hollywood period. His pictures are Wow! and such a charming chap too!

The shoot took place in Gordon's beautiful house, which is filled with stunning Art Deco furniture, old telephones and a free standing radio from the 30's. Here's the amazing vintage kitchen...

I had such a wonderful time that afternoon, I think Gordon did too with six women all chatting and drinking champagne in his kitchen! I can't remember ever meeting such strong, spirited and like-minded women, and it was great to finally meet Lena Weber, who has been my editor for The Vintage Guide to London since November last year.

The 30's style 'Eleanor' blouse was modelled by Rebecka 'Eleanor' Mustajarvi who is also a contributor for The Vintage Guide to London. Rebecka works for a poetry charity and is part of the editorial board of the lit magazine Nutshell.

The 40's style 'Annie' blouse was modelled by the vivacious Annie Andrews 1940′s Actress, Pin up, dancer and vocalist. Annie writes a terrific blog on her fascinating vintage lifestyle. Strangely I remembered her from a 1940's wartime re-enactment at The Chiltern Open Air Museum many years ago! Small world eh?

The 50's 'Claire' blouse was modelled by Claire Pursglove, events contributor for The Vintage Guide to London, who works as a freelance photographer and creative projects manager. She was telling us about her passion for Marilyn Monroe. I'm with her on that!

Lastly, here's the 60's blouse, now named 'Rebecca' - (I've never had a blouse named after me before!)

All the blouses are now available from The Vintage Guide to London Etsy shop, each blouse is a limited edition of 100. I am sure the collection will be a huge success!
