Stop Traffic Clothing at launch of 'Coquette'

Our dear friend Mr David Carter is an English eccentric of notable fame in vintage circles. He always manages to create truly inspired events with an atmosphere out of fairyland. The launch of 'Coquette' at Kettner's, Soho, on 9th April certainly lived up to my expectations!

Stop Traffic Clothing was very excited after being approached by Mr Carter to showcase our current collection of retro and vintage inspired dresses & accessories (see below).

There were other fab retail therapy opportunities including oh so sexy lingerie from Fred and Ginger, to-die-for millinery by Katherine Elizabeth and Hazel was on hand with styling advice from the roaming vintage store Rag & Bow who looked stunning sporting a green 70's style playsuit!

As Stop Traffic Clothing is an online shop it is always a pleasure to see ladies dressed up in our clothing! It's also a lovely excuse to dress up & invite friends along to lend a hand! My friend Sophie looked beautiful wearing the Bettie Page blue Ella dress!

I wore the Vintage Allure Pink 50's swing dress with the Anna Lou of London 'Je Taime' black heart necklace.

There were lots of activities to partake of (all included in the ticket price) such as Charleston dance classes, having a vintage hair style by the team at Lipstick and Curls, make up by Benefit and then why not pose for a portrait with Aliona Adrianova? See picture below! I had my palm read by the amazing Leo Cohen, who told me I had a strong heart, I loved music, I should travel more, and that I really wouldn't be very good at business - oh dear!!

Leo says 'I looked deeply into their inner and outer beings, from their left palms to their right palms, each line, or shape revealing new truths. The stars, the triangles, the mounts... not only to uncover their truths and their mysteries but to help them decide their destiny.'

The tickets may seem expensive at £90 but Mr Carter and the team at Kettner's spent months making sure the day was filled with opulence! The Hendrick's Gin punch and Champagne was always flowing & sandwiches, canapes and yummy cakes galore!

The goodie bags were filled with marvellous treats such as knickers from What Katie Did, discount vouchers from Stop Traffic Clothing (plug plug!) the new Benefit 'triple performing facial emulsion' and skincare treats from Murad, who were also pampering the ladies all day with facials! not to mention brilliant discounts on their specialist skincare range.

Not surprisingly considering the amazing reviews of 'Coquette' tickets for 18th June have already sold out, however there is still chance to get your hands on tickets for 20th August, 15th October, and 3rd December.
